Nigerian Police begins Promotion exercise for Junior officers with Degrees
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase, has constituted a high-powered Committee to screen all junior police officers who have obtained higher educational qualifications for appointment into the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and Inspectorate cadres.
The State Command interviews are slated for 1st July to 6th July, 2015 while Zonal screening starts on 16th July to 22nd July, 2015. The exercise is part of the welfare package aimed at boosting the morale of the Force.
The IGP, while reiterating that the result of the interview must reach Force Headquarters on or before 28th July, 2015, emphasized that the exercise must be fair and transparent.
