Boko Haram kills Over 50,Injured 75 In Borno

   

Over 50 people have been confirmed killed by boko haram armed with Ak 47 assault weapon and other sophisticated weapons in a one and half hour operation in Dalori village 4 km from Maiduguri
The terrorist arrived at 7pm Saturday in Hilux van wearing Army Camouflage, the looted, killed,destruction of livestock.
The army was dispatched to counter the insurgence,those injured were taken to the specialist hospital in Maiduguri on Saturday.about 70 people received gunshot injury.

Goodluck Jonathan gave Fayose $37m To Defeat Gov Fayemi- PDP Secretary

                                  

The embattled Secretary of  PDP Ekiti  State Chapter,Dr Temitope Aluko alleged  that former president Jonathan gave current Governor Ayodele Fayose $37m to prosecute the election of June 21 2004.
He said he played important role in Fayose emergence as a Governor, from handling the PDP  waiver from national level which enabled him qualifies for the primaries, to delivering the congress that produced him as candidate and standing as a witness at the elections Tribunal.
Dr Aluko said Jonathan gave $2m in the first instance on March 2014 for the primary election and that the money was collected at the NNPC Tower In Abuja.

President Buhari said on Sunday that  his major headache in the success of the anti- corruption war of his administration is the Judiciary.
He emphasized that for the war to be successful and effective, the role and support of the Judiciary is needed.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Mr Femi Adesina, said,Buhari who spoke in a town hall meeting with Nigerians living in Ethiopia. said that the Judiciary reforms is a priority of his administration,making reference to his travail in court up to the supreme court during his previous three attempt of becoming the president,were clear indication.

7 Dead,10 Rescued In Boat Mishap In Lagos

   

7 people dead and 10 were rescued in a boat mishap on Saturday in Lagos,The incident happened at Badore area of Eti Osa Local government area around 10.20 am.
The Boat took off from Ijede jetty with 17 people and reportedly ran into a heap of sand,fishermen were able to recovered 4 bodies on the spot while 13 others were  hospitalized,some of the rescued died at the hospital bringing the total death to 7 according to a witness.

Hundred of masked men went on a rampage in Stockholm last night beating up refugees children and any one looking different from ethnic Swedish, in and around Stockholm central station.

 The money was allegedly paid in several tranches into the company’s account number: 0026223714 with Diamond bank from the Office of the National Security Adviser account with the CBN according to Vanguard.It was gathered that all the transfers were effected between June and December, 2014.

The pro-Biafran activist group led by the imprisoned Nnamdi Kanu has filed a complaint against Muhammadu Buhari in The Hague, accusing the Nigerian president of war crimes.

Thousands of people in southeast Nigeria have demonstrated in recent months, demanding independence for Biafra. Kanu, the leader of one of the most prominent activist groups—the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)—was arrested by Nigerian security forces in October 2015 on charges of ethnic incitement and sedition. He remains in detention and was refused bail by a federal high court in the capital Abuja on Friday.

Recently engaged Mariah Carey and his Casino billionaire lover,James Parker are  now living together in a gated LA community in a hilltop mansion that cost them $250,000 monthly with the likes of Khloe Kardashian as their neighbor. The plush rental property features a sprawling 18,000 sq ft mansion on a one hectare property.

A mosquito borne disease has been linked to several birth defects in the US.There are 31 confirmed diagnoses of the mosquito-borne illness, believed to cause birth defects, in the United States. 
All of them are believed to have caught the infection, which is transferred by the Aedes mosquito, while traveling in the Caribbean or Latin America where there are outbreaks of the tropical illness.

Dino Melaye, a senator from Kogi west, has described former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s letter to the national assembly as a misplacement anger, accusing him of introducing corruption into the national assembly.

Obasanjo had written a letter to the national assembly accusing it of insincerity for its planned purchase of 469 cars worth N4.7bn.
But Melaye,  on Thursday, said the former president introduced corruption into the national assembly in his bid to run for a third term in office.

The learned Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria yesterday January 27, 2016 upheld the declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that Chief Ezenwo Nyesom Wike won the April 11, 2015 Governorship election in Rivers State. The decision was a departure from the earlier findings of the Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal and the Court of Appeal which had both agreed with us that the conduct of the April 11, 2015 elections failed to comply substantially with the requirements of the Electoral Act.

Man Arrested For Inserting Finger Inside an 8 Months Pregnant Woman Virgina

         

 Samuel Onochie, was arrested by the police  for allegedly sexually assaulting a pregnant woman, Esther (pseudonym), in Jakande, in the Eti-Osa Local Government Area of the state.
It was learnt that the woman, said to be eight-month-old pregnant, was passing through the area on Sunday at about 6am, when Onochie ambushed her.

Five gang member that raped a 15 years old primary 5 pupil attributed their actions to the waywardness of the victim,and also that she was not a virgin.
The suspects who were a few days ago arrested, after a non-governmental organisation reported the incident at Oworonsoki police station, following the alarm by residents of the area.said  the victim (names withheld) was a girlfriend to one of the arrested members and that she voluntary followed his boyfriend to the scene of the rape.

Supreme Court Upholds Governor Wike's Mandate

   

The Supreme Court of Nigeria today deliver a judgement that upheld the election of Rivers state Governor,Nyesome Wike. Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun who read the judgement set aside the earlier ruling of the election Tribunal and the Appeal court judgement,she held that the appeal file by Governor Wike was meritorious.adding that the court will give reasons for the judgement Feb 12.
She held, “I find and hold that this appeal is meritorious and it is allowed. The judgement of the lower court delivered on the 16th of November 2015 and the judgment of the tribunal delivered on 24th October 2015 are hereby set aside.
