The Principal security Officer to the former President's Wife, Patience Jonathan has been killed in Abuja by unknown gunmen believe to be assassins.Deputy Superintendent of Police Tamuno Jacob Igbomie was found dead in his Honda car Last Friday along Airport road.
The Married father of two was said to have been found dead in his car with all his belongings , wallet, phone and other personal effects intact,he was shot at a close range and left with The engine of his car Running.
“We believe Tamuno was killed by hired assassins because they did not take away anything in his car. His phones and wallets were still with him when his body was found in the car with the engine steaming.
“He was shot in the night and his body was found early in the morning; we don’t know if he was killed over a business transaction or disagreement with someone,” the source who served with the deceased at the villa stated.
He was deployed to serve as Aide camp to patience Jonathan when her husband became the Vice President and her Principal Security Officer when Jonathan became president 2011,he hailed from Okrika.
He was recently redeployed to FCT Police command where he is in charge of Junior officer posting.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu confirmed the killing,noting that investigation has started to unravel the killer.
