Nigeria Soldiers begins Operation in sambisa forest
Nigeria soldiers has commenced military operation in sambisa forest, to flush out the boko haram group.the forest widely believed to be used as training camp of the sect in the north east.
The decision was taken by the Military High Command to invade the forest to make the states affected by the terrorist safe and ready for the upcoming Elections
The Nigerian Airforce started air raid on Monday to make way for the ground invasion by soldiers according to what a Military source told Punch
He said, “The military started an operation in the Sambisa Forest on Monday. For now, there are no specific cases of arrest; we don’t have that information now. The Air Force has been operating in the area since Monday. It is after that that the ground troops who are on red alert would be moved in.”
Source close to office strategic to the operations said that, a lot of activities is going on simultaneously in the forest and part of the North east hosting Boko Haram camp due to intelligence report that most of the Insurgents dislodged from the communities are moving back to the forest.
