Abot 300 migrants died crossing the Mediterranean Sea
About 300 migrant traveling in an inflatable boat lost their lives in the Mediterranean sea when their boat encounter a terrible waves.
Four boat left Tripoli on Saturday but only one was located and rescue on the Italian coast, 9 other survivors were rescued by merchant ship but there are no signs of the fourth boat, each boat carries an approximately 100 people.
The latest fatal episode at sea drew immediate complaints about the European program to patrol the shores and rescue migrants that replaced a far more ambitious Italian operation that was disbanded last fall.
Humanitarian agencies as well as Italian authorities lamented the shortcomings of the new patrol mission led by the European agency Frontex, whose scope is narrower than that of the Italian Navy-run rescue program it replaced known as Mare Nostrum
