23 injured ,37 dead in Biu bomb explosion

                   

 37 people has died in Biu town Southern Borno,when multiple explosion took place at a military checkpoint injuring 23 others according to witness.

Boko haram terrorist try to enter the city with a vehicle loaded with explosives but were prevented by the soldiers in the checkpoint along Biu Maiduguri road.

“A Boko Haram terrorists alighted the bus and join other travellers from other vehicle to walk through the checkpoint with their hands raised above their heads,” witnesses said.

“But a vigilant member of the Civillian-JTF who was quick to spot the Boko Haram terrorists as he was pulling the pin off the hand grenade quickly corked his rifle and shot the terrorist in the head. The man fell down and the grenade exploded killing innocent travellers and children hawking satchet water and other snacks near the checkpoint.”

Soldiers engaged the terrorist killing some while those in the bus were burn beyond recognition when the grenade exploded,the total casualty figure is 20 innocent persons, 17 Boko haram  and 23 others wounded.
