Thousands march in Niger protesting against Boko Haram
Thousand of people took part in a protest march today in the capital city of Niger Rep,Niamey against the violence of Boko haram extending into the country.
The Prime Minister Brigi Rafini lead the match with a heavy police presence and snipers on roof top along the street protest route.
The people of Niger who were afraid to voice out against the sect are now bold in one united front against the sect.
Banners bearing slogans like "Boko haram is itself haram (forbidden)","All united against Boko Haram",and "Our army our pride"were used in the procession ,student union leader,worker union,non government organisation and religious body took part in the protest.
Boko haram has extended it's attack into Cameroon, chad and Niger recently as they form alliance with Nigeria to tackle the group.Niger has contributed 3,000 soldiers to this war
