The security official intercepted a trailer loaded with ammunition in Jos plateau state yesterday,according to premium time,the arms were been transported by a private trailer driven by a civilian when the police intercepted it.
The driver of the trailer refused to be searched,in an attempt to run away he had an accident and the trailer broke down at a bridge.
Captain Ikedichi Iwela the spokesperson of the special task force STF confirm the incident, but said they are aware of the transit of the arms,that they are legal.
Meanwhile,the police spokesperson refuse to comment on the issue. the area where the trailer broke down has been cordon off according to the STF spokesperson
