Police in Adamawa State has discovered 19 deadly bomb hidden in the bush in readiness for use during the elections schedule for next week by Boko Haram.this was disclosed in a press conference on Friday in Yola by the State commissioner of Police.
According to the Commissioner of Police Gabriel Adaji, The bombs were found in a bush in Song local Government Area following a tip off,The Insurgent planned to strike a serious and deadly blow in the state,seeing the calibre of the bomb which were 90% completed,just to be connected to batteries,one of which is capable of bring down a 10 storey building.
“We thank God for answering our prayers in Adamawa State. The discovery has prevented something that would have caused a hell of sorrows in the state. Some of the bombs were capable of bringing down a 10-storey building,” Adaji said.
The commissioner said the terrorist intended to blow up Benue bridge connecting north and south Yola.he added that the bombs were at the verge of been transported away to various location were they will be used.
