300 Boko Haram members killed in Counter offensive - Military

    


The Defence spokesperson Major General Chris Olukolade  said on Wednesday that 300 members of Boko Haram were killed during the offensive to recapture towns and villages held by the insurgent group,weapons and equipment were also captured, some destroyed, he said two soldier lost their lives while 10 were wounded.
A strategic town of Monguno bordering the four countries was recaptured from Boko Haram by the military,the army seized 5 types of fighting armored cars,anti aircraft guns, 50 cases of bomb,300 motorcycles,50 cases of ammunition and eight different types of machine guns.
