22 Private Jet Operating Licences may be revoke by Federal Government

There are indications that the Federal Government through the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) may revoke the Air Operator’s Certificate (AOCs) of 22 private registered aircraft using their aircraft for commercial operations for failing to regularise their papers in line with the directive of the Aviation Minister, Chief Osita Chidoka.

This is coming on the heels of the  expiration yesterday of the directive by the minister of aviation  asking  private  registered  aircraft  who uses their airplanes for commercial operations to regularise their operations  on or before February 5,2015  or have their licences revoked.
Daily Independent learnt that NCAA may use the sledge hammer on the recalcitrant private registered aircraft owners on Monday, following the non-challant attitude exhibited.
Most of the  owners of private jets our correspondent gathered,   have shown little or no concern about the directive  and  that only very few were at NCAA’s Aviation House yesterday to beat the deadline.
However ,a statement  obtained by NCAA listed foreign registered privately operated aircraft that have been issued with agency’s Flight Operations Clearance Certificate (FOCC) and Maintenance Clearance Certificate, (MCC), and  the owners are authorised to operate within Nigeria strictly for private operation only and not for hire or rewards according to Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations (NCARs) 8.2.1.9.
The affected private jet companies according to NCAA statement include Air First, ANAP Business Jets, ATT Aviation Support Ltd, AVJET Corporation, BUA Group Limited, Chrome Air, Delmon Aviation./C&K, Dominion Air, EAN Aviation Limited and Executive Jets.
