The Spanish Government through her Ambassador in Nigeria has confirmed that a Spanish Company is Interested in Constructing a Photovoltaic Plant free of charge in Kano state if the state government can provide a land near its national grid.The plant will provide 100MW of Electricity.
Alfonso Sebastian in a visit to the state Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar he said his country being one of the country with the largest Gross Domestic Product in the world is interested in Trade,Water supply and Technology.
Spain according to him is rich in renewable energy.In responds the state Governor Abdullahi Umar said the state will provide land and incentives that will encourage foreign investors to set up manufacturing plant in the state.
