MTN Group CEO Resigns Over $5.2b Fine

    

South Africa Telecom giant MTN says its Chief Executive Officer will resign immediately over the $5.2billion  fine as talks continues with Nigerian Government,he will be replaced by a non executive chairman Phuthuma Nhleko for a maximum of six months.

“Due to the most unfortunate prevailing circumstances occurring at MTN Nigeria, I, in the interest of the company and its shareholders, have tendered my resignation with immediate effect,” Dabengwa said in a statement.
