The Comptroller General of Custom Col Hameed Ali has Stated that he will review all cases of irregular promotion of officers in the past,pointing to the fact that some promotion done were not regular ones.
Ali said on Wednesday while addressing Officers in Kano that some officers were promoted when they were not supposed to be promoted while others were promoted above their senior not because they merit it but because their relatives are highly connected.
He vowed that under his watch those who did not merit promotion will be demoted,stressing that henceforth promotion will be based on merit,and will only go to those who work for it
