South Africa releases seized $15m cash for arms to Nigeria Government

       

PR Nigeria,the consulting firm for Nigerian Security Agencies confirmed on Friday that the South African Government has returned to Nigerian Government $15m seized by the South African airport security, September 5,2014.
The Money was seized from two Nigerians and an Israeli on arrival at the airport,which was meant for purchase of arms for Nigerian Military.

Custom Officers discover the cash when their suitcases were scanned through security.The money was concealed in two black plastic suitcases, filled with 90 blocks each containing US$100,000 in notes,which was$9.3 million in total,alongside an invoice of helicopter and arms meant for Nigerian.
Just within a space of Five days the South African authority seized another $5.7 million transferred by Societe D’Equipments Internationale of Nigeria, to South African arms company, Cerberus Risk Solutions, for the procurement of arms.which added up to $15m.
Although the Then National Security Adviser NSA Col Dasuki,said the seized money is belong to Nigerian government,but the South African Government said the money will be released after due process has been  followed since the country has no interest in Keeping the Money .
