President Buhari ask Senate to confirm service Chiefs

President Buhari has written to the senate asking for a confirmation of Service Chiefs he appointed,The letter was received by Senate President Bukola Saraki on Tuesday 28th July.


Those that he seek their appointment to be confirmed are Major-General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin as the new Chief Defence Staff, Major-General Tukur Y. Buratai as Chief of Army Staff, Rear Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas as Chief of Naval Staff, and Air Vice Marshal Sadique Abubakar as Chief of Air Staff.‎
The Senate President is expected to set an ad-hoc committee in the absence of a standing committee to screen the appointees
