US Pharmaceutical Firm Johnson and Johnson,said it has start human trial of Ebola vaccine,the test is been carried out on 72 volunteers health workers who will be examined to see how their body react to the vaccine.
The phase 1 of this exercise is carried out by Oxford vaccine Group at Oxford university, The company hope to expand the testing by April on a large group of Patients,the company said it has produced 400,000 doses and at least 2 million doses will be ready by end of 2015,Johnson & Johnson also said if necessary 5 million doses can be produced between 12 and 18 months
The company announced back in Oct 2014 that it will spend $200 million to speed up and expand Ebola Vaccine Program
Ebola has killed 8,153 people in last year outbreak, with Liberia as the worst hit country with 3471 death follow by Sierra Leone and Guinea
