General and other senior Army Officer arrested by Army Authority for abandoning Baga

                     

Brigadier General Ransome Kuti and his chief of staff Lt Col Suru and other senior officers have been arrested over the their inability to defend Baga from Boko haram January 3rd invasion.

Also arrested are the commanding officer of 134 and 174 Battalion,Lt Col Haruna and Major Aliyu both Command were under the Multi National Joint Task Force,where they were dislodged by boko haram.all officer arrested are been detained at the officer mess of 21 Armour Brigade in Maiduguri,they are been ask to account for the huge and sophisticated arm they abandon for boko Haram


Sources said that the Military is very angry with Brigadier General Ransome Kuti for being unable to lead  his troops to counter boko haram despite the high calibre of weapons made available to them,he was said to have gone under ground for four days after the insurgents dislodge the troops from the base

Also awaiting arrest is Brigade Commander of the 5 Brigade, Monguno, a Brigadier General Yekini, who was injured in the Monguno attack on Sunday, is yet to be arrested because he is still receiving treatment for injuries sustained during the attack.
