Commissioner shot dead in Imo State

                

Mr Tony Onyekele, a commissioner in Imo state was shot dead on Sunday by unknown gunmen,he was murdered in Orji in Owerri North local Government Area.
The late Mr Onyekele was returning from Sunday service when he notice strange men trailing him,he got out of his car and stated running,the killers pursued  him to a glass house in Orji where he was shot to death.
His killing was said to be "Politically motivated assassination".
but the police said that it was a kidnap attemptgone wrong ,that the victim tried to run from been kidnap that was why he was shot, his personal belonging  were intact according to the Command Public Relation Officer DSP Andrew Enweren who confirmed the incident,the police vow to investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice
