Toady president Goodluck Jonathan, The leaders of the judiciary and the legislature, the military and para military bodies in Nigeria honored the the fallen heroes who died for the security,peace and unity of Nigeria
This Year armed Forces Day was Theme "Appreciating the Nigeria Armed Forces", wreath laying ceremony was at the National Arcade in Abuja,
President Jonathan , Vice president,Senate president ,Deputy speaker of House of Assembly lead wreath.
Others that led wreath are the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmoud Mohammed, the Minister of Defence, retired Lt-Gen. Aliyu Gusau, and the FCT Minister, Malam Bala Mohammed.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Kenneth Minimah, the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice-Adm. Usman Jibrin, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adesola Amosu also laid wreaths.
