22 Years Old Nigerian Dies In Police Custody

A Nigerian man Ajibola 22 died in a Police custody on January 1,Savannah,Georgia, for  battery offence, the deputy officer said Ajibola died while he was placed in a restraining chair because of his combative behavior,while the spokesperson for the sheriff office said he was kept in an isolating cell because of behavior that was deemed dangerous

According to  Savannah news, police received a call from the girlfriend of Ajibola, on arriving the scene both were covered in a blanket and holding each other,when his girlfriend removed the blanket her face showed sign of bruises, but Ajibola refuse to let  go,holding the girl and resisted arrest, the two deputies have to take him to the ground to be handcuffed
Ajibola girlfriend reportedly told the police about his health condition and handed over a bottle of Pills label Divaproex   which is used to treat Bipolar disorder,he was taken to the police station where he died

Both police officers have been placed on administrative live with pay due to their "inappropriate action" to the death of Ajibola

Ajibola was born in Lagos, studied films at Savannah college of Art and Designs before switching to computer science at Savannah technical college
