The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC has shut down operations of Kaduna and Port Harcourt Refineries due to supply challenges of crude as a result of pipeline attacks.
The plants were shut simultaneously on Sunday after the Bonny
– Okrika crude supply line to the Port Harcourt Refinery and the Escravos-Warri crude supply line to the Kaduna Refinery suffered breaches, a statement by the Corporation Said.
NNPC stated that before the attacks and the shut down Port Harcourt was producing 4.1 million Litres of PMS Daily while the Kaduna refinery was producing 1.3 million litres.
