Ex President Goodluck Jonathan said that he is proud of the success the Nigerian military is making over the fight against boko haram due to the foundation he laid down before his government exit.
In an interview with international TV station France 24, in a programme titled Focus on Africa, he said the equipment his administration bought is what Buhari's government is still using in the war against Boko Haram.
Jonathan said, “Of course, you know the new government is working hard and I believe they are still using the equipment we procured. The 2016 budget is still being debated and no new equipment has been bought. So, even what the new government is still using to prosecute the war is the equipment we procured. I believe that with what we left behind, and the new ones they would acquire, this issue of Boko Haram will be taken to a logical conclusion.”
