Burkina Faso Issues International Arrest Warrant For Ex President Blaise Compaore

                  

Burkina Faso has issue International arrest warrant for ousted head of state Blaise Compaore for the murder of former president Thomas Sankara.
Thomas Sankara was killed on October 15th 1987 in a military coup that brought Blaise Compaore to power.

"I confirm that an international arrest warrant was issued against [ex-]President Blaise Compaore by the investigating judge," Prosper Farama,  a lawyer for Sankara's family,told Reuters.
Five soldiers including Compaore chief of staff,General  Gilbert Diendere have been charged for the murder of Thomas Sankara.
Blaise Compaore who was ousted from power by popular protest,fled to Ivory Coast where he is hiding.
Sankara was a revolutionary figure,who pursued a philosophy of Marxism and pan-Africanism that led him to be called "Africa's Che Guevara".
