To reduce the cost of governance the Incoming Government will retain only 19 ministries out of existing 31.the president-elect is convinced that he won't be able to deliver on promise unless the numbers of ministries are cut down to reduce bureaucracy and most importantly to trim numerous agencies and ministries that consumes 70% of the country's Budget.
Under the new government some of the mergers been considered are
1. Ministry of Interior (to include Police Affairs)
2. Ministry of Transportation (to include Works, Aviation, Railways, Waterways/Transport
3. Agriculture & Water Resources, etc.
4. Ministry of Information, Youth Development & Culture
5. Ministry of Trade, Investment & Tourism, etc.

Niger Delta Ministry may be replaced with Ministry for Regional Development. Women Affairs, Special Duties may be scrapped.
It is been revealed that the Technocrats working on the incoming government structure has plainly relied on Stephen Oronseye Report of 2012 as a comprehensive blue print which details fundamentals of reduction of cost governance.
Meanwhile the President-elect might announce his chief of staff, Principal Secretary,and a number of special adviser before Friday so that there will be a kind of interface between the outgoing and incoming government in handing over of assets in the State house.
