President Jonathan says Chibok girls are still Alive

                   

President Jonathan today assured Nigerian that the Chibok girls are still alive and the government is doing everything possible to rescue them.

He expressed optimism when he spoke on African Independent Television, AIT Kakaki programme with the believe that the militant would have displayed their dead body to induce fear.


In the Programme the president admitted that he and his government under estimated the group Boko Haram hence they were strongly rooted, but he assured Nigerians that haven taken possession of  65% of the needed equipment, he is sure of retaking the remaining territory captured by the Militants.he stated that the reason why the Chibok girls have not been rescue is due to the areas still held by the Militants

“We promised that we must get the girls. The good story is that they have not killed them because the terrorists, when they kill, they display. They use it to intimidate the whole society. They girls are alive. We will get the girls. Luckily, we are narrowing down the area of their control. So, we will get them” he said.
