INEC office burnt by aggrieved persons In Benue

Aggrieved voters, late Sunday night, set ablaze the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office in Logo Local Government Area of Benue state.
According to what Vanguard gathered from a reliable source that aggrieved locals in the area, which is the home town of Governor Gabriel Suswam, razed the office at about 8pm, in protest of last Saturday’s general election results purportedly   released by the office.

According to him, “the action may not be unconnected with the said result that INEC released in the area which actually did not go down with the people who are claiming that the result was skewed.”
When contacted, the Public Relations Officer, PRO, of INEC in the state, Mr. Louis Ochai confirmed the development, describing it as unfortunate and deplorable.
Ochai said, “by tomorrow we should be able to get the full details of the unfortunate development, but for now the matter is being handled as a security issue; it is however regrettable.

Also INEC loss three Ad-hoc staff to accident ,one sturday morning onher way to her duty post ,while the other two died sunday after the elections on their way home.
