President Jonathan Give's N75M to families who lost relatives at 2014 Immigration recruitment



President Jonathan fulfilled his promise to 15 families that lost a relative during the 2014 Immigration recruitment stampede,he earlier promised putting a smile on their face, which he accomplish today as he returned from his two days visit to the South West,

He gave N5m each to 15 families and automatic employment to 35 members of the families,all the bereaved families got their check and alongside employment letter to 3 members of each family at the Presidential villa Today
President Jonathan said “I promise this country that such (fatal recruitment exercise) will not happen again. This will be the last of such things,” he also made it clear to the families not to see the money gift they received as compensation since it is incapable of bringing back the deceased

Also, the Comptroller General of NIS said out of the 45 family members promised job with the NIS, 10 did not meet the NIS criteria,they were either too short, overweight , or overaged,the families were ask to bring replacement.
For the 35 who got employment letter, the university graduate among were given the rank of Assistant suprintendent,those with National certificate of Education were employed as Assistant  Inspector,while school certificate holders  as Immigration officer 3
