Nigerian student sentenced to death in Malaysia

              


A Nigerian student studying in a private school in Malaysia was on Friday sentenced to death by hanging for trafficking 724.5gm of methamphetamine three years ago
Luke Nnaemeka Ugwu 29 was caught at Kuala Lumpa International Airport arrival hall 9.45pm May 15th 2012
Deputy public prosecutor Hasifulkhair Mohammed Jamaluddin and Husniyah Hanapi represented the prosecution while counsel Hasnan Hamzah defended Luke. 

Justice Datuk Abdul Alim Abdullah found his defence to be a mere denial, according to Bernama, Malaysian National News Agency.

Two other Nigerian Onyeme Chibunna Okechukwu 31 was sentenced to 12 years imprison and 12 stroke for possession of 4.432 gm of cannibis while Obdiegwu was acquitted
