A new case of Ebola virus disease has been confirmed in Monrovia ,Liberia as the people were hoping the country will soon been declare free of the epidemic by the World Health Organisation.
For 20 straight days there has been no new case of infection, until a woman tested positive on Friday
Dr Kateh Liberia Acting Head of The Ebola Incident Management Team told BBCthat a woman who was taken into a treatment centre in Monrovia on Thursday had tested positive for the virus.
Dr Kateh said he was concerned that it had not been possible to establish how the woman became infected, as health workers had run out of "contacts" to pursue.
He said they now intended to investigate whether the woman had travelled abroad.
