Gov Amaechi Cries Over Withdrawal of Police protection In Rivers

Rotimi Amaechi The Governor of River State and the Director General APC Presidential campaign has cried foul and injustice about the withdrawal of policeman attached to all Politician in Rivers State by the Commissioner of Police Mr Dan Baturu..
He claim this action is targeted at the Dr Peteside Dakukus the APC's governorship candidate of Rivers State,Amaechi claim the commissioner is working under the directive of the Inspector General of police who he said is sympathetic to the PDP. Responding, the commissioner denied any wrong doing,explaining it as a redeployment to meet current challenges of violent crimes in the State


At a Press briefing on Monday Governor Amaechi Stated:

 “It is sad that because of the clear partisanship and deliberate attempt, Rivers people could not be living at a worse season of insecurity now than ever, pitiably, under an IGP who, coincidentally, had been a Commissioner of Police in the state.

“We are thus left to conclude that Mr Suleiman Abba is obviously sympathetic to PDP and would rather protect the interest of the party rather than that of the generality of Nigerians. We, therefore, challenge IGP Abba to prove to Nigerians that he is still an officer and a gentleman,” he had said.
