The APC Governorship Aspirant of Kogi State Abdulaziz Aliyu and his brother Salmanu Aliyu died on Saturday in an auto accident in along Jere town of kaduna state on their way back from Abuja.
According to a family member who spoke to Premium Times,said Abdulaziz was in Lagos on Friday,stop over in Abuja,he was to return to kano same day,but flight his flight was cancelled due to bad weather,his younger brother joined him from Abuja when the accident Happened.
.“Omeiza (the late politician’s son) spoke with his father around 1.30 p.m. on Saturday few minutes before the ill fated journey. We received the shocking and sad news of his demise from samaritans at the scene of the accident,” he said
the father of the deceased, Jimoh Aliyu, described the accident as a “fulfillment of destiny”, adding that he “accepted it as an act of God”.
