The Governor of Delta State hail the decision of the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party to nominate Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the flag bearer of the Party Governorship election coming up 2015,he called Okowa a Worthy candidate.
The Governor issue a statement through the commissioner of Information Chike Ogeah, He said: We congratulate the distinguished senator on the well-deserved victory. With the Delta State PDP now through with credible primaries, we urge all Deltans to imbibe the virtues of tolerance and fair play exhibited by the contestants.
“Through the peaceful and successful conduct of the primaries, Delta State has proved that it is a bastion of the PDP and is primed to continue to sustain the atmosphere of peace and development in the coming dispensation.
“We urge the contestants, PDP leaders and stakeholders in the state to rally round Okowa to ensure the continuation of a PDP government in the 2015 general elections.”
