Tokunbo Cars Will Cost More From January 1, 2015

           

From January 1 second hand vehicle imported popularly called Tokunbo cars are expected to be more expensive as the second phase of the National automotive policy announced earlier 2013, will take effect,
Car importers will now pay 70% duty on all imported cars,

The Federal Government say that increasing the tariff from 22%-70% was design to encourage home Assembly Plants in the Automotive Industry, the first phase of 35% was implement February 2014, the second Phase that was to commence in July was postpone to Jan 2015.
