The former minister of transport and Aviation, Fani Kayode who has been facing criminal charges of money laundering was today morning discharged and acquitted by a High court sitting in Lagos southwest, Nigeria,
He was discharged of 38 count out of 40 count charges filed against him.The presiding judge Justice Ofili Rita Ajumogobia said the prosecution failed to prove beyond reasonable doubt the offenses in the 38 counts and thereby discharge and acquit the former minister accordingly and was ask to enter a plea for count 25 and 26 count.
The case was adjoin to 8 of Dec when Fani- Kayode will be expected to enter his plea.
