LAGOS NAMED 4TH MOST VISITED CITY IN AFRICA
Lagos the populous city in Nigeria has been named the 4th most visited city in Africa by the 2014 MasterCard of Global Destination cities index.
The Index revealed that 1.3 million International overnight visitor is expected to have visited Lagos by the end of this year,an increase of 5.8% from 1.25 million in 2013
While south Africa cities of Johannesburg and Cape town came first and second respectively, with a figure of 4.2 million and 1.6 million international visitors respectively
Egypt's Cairo (1.35 million) and Casablanca in Morocco( 982,219) taking third and fifth place on the Index
Africa Retail Development Index also name Lagos as the most populous city in Africa listing the city as the second most attractive destination on the continent for retail sector investors
