The Federal Government has ordered the immediate deployment of 5,000 Men and officers of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corp to the North East of Nigeria to help tackle the Boko Haram insurgents.
The Minister of Interior Dambazzau said yesterday that the deployment will help in reclaiming lost territories and restoration of Peace in the region.he said the officer drafted will help stabilise the region and secure areas already liberated by the military.
Dambazzau, who described the corps as an active and leading contributor to peace and security on the national stage made the revelation at the permanent site of the corps in Sauka, Abuja.
