Police sergeant in Bauchi Police Command, Godwin Hosea has been promoted to Inspector by the Inspector General of Police as a reward for fabricating a bullet proof vest from local materials.
The Police Commissioner Mohammed Mohammed,who decorated the officer commended his exceptional talent.
He said, “On 22/7/2015 during one day official working visit to Bauchi state command by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon E Arase, one F/No 218346 Sgt Godwin Hosea presented a fabricated bullet proof jacket he manufactured locally to the IGP during the lecture parade, as a result, a visibly happy IGP instantly promoted the Sgt to the rank of Inspector with effect from 22/7/2015”.
Inspector Godwin Hosea was urged by the AC Sumonu Abdumalik, who represented the commissioner, to rededicated himself to duty and reciprocate the gesture do by the IG to him.
