Sokoto Gives N500,000 each To Hajj Stampede Victims Families

                          

The Sokoto state Government have announce a donation of N500,000 each to family members of 2015 Hajj stampede victim from the state.a total of 138 people fell victim of the incident.
114 people were confirmed death, 22 still missing,while 2 are injured and receiving treatment in the hospital according to the breakdown.

In a statement issued by Mallam Imam Imam, Tambuwal's Spokesman, stated that the governor announced the donation while receiving the report of the 2015 hajj Committee of Sokoto State.
He said though the government cannot compensate the families for the lost of their love ones,but the gesture was a fulfillment of the promise when the tragedy occurred in September.he commended the patience the families have endured and promise the state Government will put in place measures that will enhance the Hajj exercise through better safety and logistic programme.
