El Zakzaky Charged With Criminal Conspiracy and Remanded In Prison

                          

Leader of the Shiite  Islamic Movement El Zakzaky have been charged with Criminal Conspiracy and Inciting public disturbance at the Chief Magistrate Court 1 Zaria road Kaduna.
He was arraign with some of his followers by the Police, but it was unclear if his plea was taken, but however remanded to prison custody.

The Police Public Relation Officer  Olabisi Kolawole, told Journalist on Tuesday that the Shi’ite leader was being prosecuted for incitement and public disturbances among other charges.

She said, “The Shi’ite leader has been arraigned in court where he was charged with criminal conspiracy, inciting public disturbances among others; he has been remanded in prison custody and the case adjourned.”

The Shiite had clash with the Army two weeks ago where scores of people lost their life.El Zakzaky was taken into custody following the clash.
