California Governor Pardon Actor Robert Downey Jr For 1996 Drug Conviction

Jerry Brown the Governor of California has pardoned Robert Downey Jr for a 1996 drug conviction that sent him to prison for over a year.
The Governor's office on Thursday announced that Robert Downey Jr was among 91 people granted Christmas pardon after showing they have rehabilitated themselves.
Downey was convicted of felony drug possession after he was stopped for speeding on the Pacific Coast Highway in Los Angeles County in June 1996 and the police found heroin, cocaine and a pistol in his car.He was sent to prison in 1999 for a year and 3 months.
Now he is one of the greatest Hollywood success story,he played the Iron man in a series of blockbuster



  A proclamation released by Brown’s office today says Downey obtained the pardon after getting a judge to issue a Certificate of Rehabilitation
