Sen Obinakoro drags PDP to Court over Primaries

     


Sen Musiliu Obinakoro,Former Minister of Sate for Defence and a Gubernatorial Candidate on the Platform of PDP,sues his party the Peoples Democratic Party to court on Friday challenging the result of the Lagos state Gubernatorial Primaries which he claimed was fraudulent.
He explained that his decision to approach the court was to urge the party to cancel the result of the primaries conducted in the state and conduct a fresh one.
Sen Obinaloro who lost to Jimi Agbaje, said,The 48 hours timeline stipulated by the PDP electoral guideline to address our appeal has elapsed without a response from the party after submitting our petition on Tuesday.
“In the light of this development, we have proceeded to the Federal High Court, Abuja, to seek redress over the outcome of last Monday’s PDP primaries. I urge all our teeming supporters to remain steadfast. We will pursue this to a logical conclusion and justice will be done,”
