The Federal Republic of Nigeria has been ranked as one of the poorest nation in the world and the least prosperous countries in 2014, irrespective of been the largest economy in Africa, other smaller African countries like Cameron, Benin and Mali did better in 2014, according to Annual Global Prosperity survey that was released this week
Nigeria was listed 125th out of 142 countries surveyed by UK Legatum Institute, a body that documents annual prosperity of nation around the world
Nigeria couldn't make the top Ten most prosperous countries in Africa either,despite having an Economy of over 500 billion dollars, the country fell to 27,falling 22 places from 2011 ranking
Countries like,Morocco Namibia,Tunisia Algeria,Ghana,Rwanda,Burkina Faso and Senegal are listed from third and below
While Benin, Kenya, Zambia, Uganda, Mali, Niger, Cameroon, Egypt, Tanzania, Malawi, Djibouti, Mozambique, Cote d’Ivoire, Congo Republic, Zimbabwe, and Mauritania are countries in between top Ten and Nigeria
