ICC Drop Charges against Kenya President

                   


The International Criminal Court, ICC, has dropped the charges of crime against humanity against President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya

He was charge by the ICC over his allege role in the post- election violence that left at least 1000 people dead in 2007
Kenyatta who always denied the charges became the first sitting President to appear before the international criminal court  in The Hague on charges of crime against humanity

The prosecutor of the Court  Fatou Bensoada said the charges could not be substain"

Meanwhile the ICC decision ends what he call a "long and arduous journey to defend my name"

President Uhuru kenyatta took up the mantle of leadership of his father 2013 when he won in a relatively peaceful election.
