The executive Governor of Delta state,Emmanuel Uduaghan has given directive for all Delta students currently studying in the areas affected by insurgent activities to return home,
In accordance with this order. 73 students in various higher institution in Adamawa have been evacuated
On arrival of the student in Asaba the state capital, the Commissioner for Special Duties,Pastor Powell Ojogho address the student and thanking God for their safety, and disclosed that arrangement were been made for their re-absorption through the Ministry of higher Education
He said “I spoke with my colleague, the Hon Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof Hope Eghagha. He said the students should write a letter to him because the governor has directed that our children who are in the affected areas should come back home.”
“We will first identify the courses they are studying over there and also get some documents from them to show that they were actually students and see if we have those courses here in our schools, universities/polytechnics, colleges of education and we will absorb them”.
The President of the National Association of Delta Student (NADESTU) Federal Polytechnic Mubic Chapter ,comrade James Jeffery in an interview said, they lost two students to the Boko Haram Insurgence
