54 Soldiers Sentence To Death By Nigeria Military
54 Soldiers of the Nigeria Army were sentence to death on Wednesday in Abuja for conspiracy to commit mutiny
The were Soldier were stationed in the Northeast attached to the 7th division of the Nigerian Army In Maiduguri to combat the menace of Boko Haram
The Soldiers were the second batch to be condemn to death by the Military court for mutiny, The trial of this soldier started since October 15th on charges of refusing to join operation against Boko Haram Insurgence.
The prosecutor Army Captain J.E Nwosu alleged that the soldiers on August 4th, in Maiduguri refused to join 111 special force battalion troops , commanded by Lt col Timothy Opurum for an operation,
Capt Nwosu said the operation was meant to recapture Delwa,Bulabulin, and Damboa, in Borno State from Boko Haram
The soldiers pleaded not guilty.
