For those that have no idea of what NLNG means and where it is... it will look like a child's play when the government of Nigeria is talking of selling this asset without a rethink... NLNG Means Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas..it is situated in the South South of Nigeria, in the Niger Delta, called Bonny Island in  River State.: Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) owns 49%, Shell Gas B.V. owns 25.6%, Total LNG Nigeria Ltd owns 15% and Eni International owns 10.4%.
With a yearly revenue as high as  $10.8 billion in the year.
The buyers of NLNG Product include Enel, Gas Natural, Botas, Engie, GALP Gas Natural, BG LNG (now part of Shell), Endesa, ENI, Iberdrola, Shell International Trading Middle East Ltd and Total Gas and Power Ltd.

NLNG Bonny Island  began its commercial operation in 1999. The construction of the plant site commenced in February 1996 and by August 1999 one of the two trains initially proposed of the base project was completed and the production of LNG started on September 15th of the same year. The second train was completed and became operational in February 2000 while the third train became operational in November 2002. The NLNG Plus, an expansion project of the NLNG, consisted of trains four and five, which came on-stream in November 2005 and February 2006 respectively.
The Nigeria LNG Limited, NLNG, has announced plan to introduce an additional train to its six existing trains at its operational.The new train, added to the existing six and a seventh train that had been on the drawing board for over 10 years, brings the total number of trains at the NLNG plant to 8.
