Heathrow: Cathay Pacific Pilot arrested for attempt carrying knives on Board hours before departure

                         

A Cathay pacific pilot was arrested for trying to carry on board knives, an hour before he was schedule to fly 262 passenger from London to Hong Kong
Cathay Pacific Flight 777 CX 254 scheduled to take off 9.10 pm was delayed for 17 and half  hours because no relief crew was available due to the discovery.


He was later released after interrogation, and asked to return to the station by May,the Metropolitan Police said in a statement "On Saturday at around 9.10pm police at Heathrow Airport were called to a staff search area after a search of a member of flight crew, for a flight later that night, found them in possession of some knives."
This is coming less than 4 weeks when co-pilot deliberately flew German wing aircraft into the French Alps killing all 150 people on board.

The flight finally took off 2.47 pm yesterday and arrived arrived 9.31 am Monday local time.

Police say investigation is still going on, the Airline spoke person said they will cooperate with the authorities
