Over 2000 members of Boko Haram storm the town of Marte in Borno in a fierce battle against Nigeria Soldiers,it was reported by witnesses that they came from all direction and engaged the soldiers in a nearby town of Kirenowa,after a prolong battle Nigeria soldiers fled the town for the insurgence.
“They fought with soldiers over the night and the fight continued today (Friday), forcing hundreds of soldiers to flee,” said a witness
Local fighter Shehu Dan Baiwa said the more than 2,000 fighters had been armed with bombs and tanks. “They used the weapons without restraint and succeeded in killing several people,” he said
Marte was one of the towns recently liberated by Nigerian troops,
