Governor Rochas Okorocha declares winner of Imo supplementary elections

                  

Sitting Governor of Imo state Gov Rochas Okorocha has won the supplementary election held yesterday defeating his opponent Mr Ihedioha by polling 31,326 votes against Ihedioha of peoples Democratic party who Polled 13,624 votes.


Mr Okorocha of All Progressive Congress won the 20 local government areas out of 23 local government where elections were held. Saturday's elections clearly sealed the victory of the incumbent governor over Ihedioha

The Imo election was declared inconclusive by returning officer Oyewusi Obidapo-Obe because the margin of victory between two top candidates was less than the registered voters in areas election did not hold or as a result of irregularities hence the supplementary polls was schedule.

The results was announced early hours of Sunday declaring Okorocha winner having poll a total of 416,996 votes of of a total of 806,764 total vote cast

Coming second was Mr Ihedioha of PDP polling 320,705 votes,while APGA Emmanuel Ihenacho polled 28,434 votes
